Wow, you’re here! Ok, how about this–get something, meaning your favorite tea, fresh juice, kombucha, water, organic coffee…whatever it is, kick back, and I hope you ENJOY this here place!
You know what pops in my head a lot? That question…what is it that really matters more than anything? Just my opinion, but I’d put my money on our health. Without our health, there’s not very much we can do. We can’t really live and enjoy our lives, not the way we were really meant to.
Why did I create Nita Healthier You?
I’ll be honest with you. I want this to be a “health haven” that I’m constantly working on just for you. A place of comfort and inspiration that you can turn to. A place where you can learn about healthier and happier living–yes certainly, through better nutrition, of course! That’s deeply important. But not just that.
Nita Healthier You is about a healthy heart and mind…our inner health. Without those, what we eat, drink, how much we exercise, supplements and any health regimens…none of it can really work the way it should.
Who is Nita Riggs Samuels…what’s my story?
I love plenty of reading and writing about health and healing our bodies–I love it! So how did I get here? Well, I’ve always been a writer, since the days of watching the Superfriends and Scooby Doo on Saturday mornings (in the 1970’s at age 7). So why do I now focus on writing and health and wellness?
Well, here it is: it’s been almost 6 years since my own 2011 brain tumor explosion. An emergency brain surgery. And a diagnosis of grade II astrocytoma brain cancer. Want more details? Feel free to read about what happened…
